We chose Salamander Bay out of the blue as we hadn’t actually been there (that we could remember).  The ride itself was quite pretty and while the water was beautiful, the weather itself was quite overcast and in reality, while the little coves were an absolute delight, we found Nelson Bay itself, and the surrounding areas to be too “touristy” for lack of a better word.
