“Just Because” Day Ride

Yes, it’s been a while, a few years in fact. Life gets in the way. We have still been riding, however, Giggles’ hasn’t been taking photos. Long story, let’s cut it short. No enthusiasm, Giggles’ favourite camera died. She then stupidly bought another camera, tried it out from the back of the Nomad and definitely the wrong choice of camera. Then, a couple of years ago, Giggles was looking at cameras and found THE ONE. However, she didn’t buy it at the time. Very recently, she went to the filing cabinet, found the information about the camera, went online to Ebay and found it on there brand new. This ride is the first time she has used it on the back of the bike and let’s just say, Giggles is over the moon. Burp, however, is possibly sick and tired of hearing about it.

Today’s ride was amazing. After work yesterday, Giggles asked Burp if they could go out on the bike, Giggles looked up the weather report and okay, showers were possible, however, it was worth the risk.

Giggles said to Burp this morning, well, are we going or not. Burp’s response was that he broke a shoelace in his boot and needed a new lace. Giggles said, we can still go, let’s leave at 1000. At 0930, Giggles and Burp were still lazing around the house and she said to him, “Are we going or not?” Burp’s response was “I need to go to Coles and buy laces or take one from your boots”. Burp was obviously unaware that Giggles was planning on wearing those lace up boots with the heels on today’s ride. Yes, Burp ended up going to Coles while Giggles put her “face” on. Pointless really as she wore a face mask because heck it was cold.

Anyway, with no destination in mind, we finally left at 1100.
