Gloucester Day Ride

 September 20, 2014

Approximately  275klm round trip

Anyone who has ever visited the Gloucester region will confirm that the countryside is so incredibly picturesque (if they don’t, then they must have had their eyes shut when they visited it). We didn’t take the shortest route as we wanted to see a little bit more of the countryside so we went out through Seaham and Clarancetown.

The reason we went to Gloucester was to visit some very dear friends of Giggles and her family whom Giggles had not seen in about 20 years. With the exception of Dungog Shire Council’s road being in the same horrific state that they always are, the ride utterly perfect.

Giggles’ photos do not do the vista any justice at all (when do they ever!) but they should hopefully give you a glimpse of just how incredibly pretty and green the landscape is.

Even though we didn’t go to Gloucester itself, having been there before, it is a wonderful area with plenty to see and do so if you’ve never been, then make the effort and you will be pleasantly surprised.
